Welcome to Pollock

Pollock is a small town in Grant Parish, central Louisiana, nestled within the Kisatchie National Forest and part of the Alexandria metropolitan area. With a population of around 385–395, it offers a quiet, rural community with a hometown feel.

Founded in the early 1890s around a sawmill named for Captain James W. Pollock, the town celebrates its heritage each spring with the Grant Dogwood Festival, highlighting local culture and community.

Pollock is also home to the Federal Correctional Complex, Pollock, which includes medium - and high-security federal prisons. Residents enjoy small-town life with easy access to outdoor recreation, while local government focuses on community services and quality of life.
